Hypothesis

• People prefer renting furniture when they shift the house frequently

• Males with artistic interest who arrange their furniture frequently, prefer renting living room furniture frequently such as tables,chairs,TV units,etc., instead of purchasing new furniture every year or two years.

Objective

• Analyse the preference for renting or buying different furniture types.

• Analyse the types of furniture most likely to be rented and by whom.

• Key motivations of people to optfor renting furniture.


The total population of Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore together is estimated to be 4.85 crores.

Divide the population as per age group.

It is estimated that the people between the ages of 24 and 35 living in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore together is 25% of the total population = 25% of 4.85 crores = 1.21 crores

The target audience = 1.21 crores.


Taking the confidence level of 95%, the margin of error as 10%, we get the sample size needed for 12100000 population is 97. (Source - link)

The number of people we need to invite to take your survey based on 10% response rate: (Number of respondents we need)/ (Expected % response rate) * 100 = (97/10)*100 = 970
